The Mission of Alvord Unified is to strengthen our community by providing safe and nurturing schools that educate and celebrate the entire child. We meet our students’ social and emotional needs and prepare them for college, career, and a lifetime of personal growth.

A Message from our Admin Team

Dear Lake Hills Families,

We are excited to begin the 2026-2027 school year and welcome you to the Happiest School on Earth! We hope your summer was filled with adventure, laughter, special memories, and plenty of time to relax with family and friends. We are in the midst of final preparations for the upcoming year and look forward to the first day of school- Monday, August 10th! 

At Lake Hills Elementary, we believe every school day is an opportunity to inspire curiosity, spark imagination, and create memories that last a lifetime. Just as every great adventure begins with excitement and wonder, this school year is a brand-new journey filled with opportunities for our students to learn, grow, discover their talents, and shine. 

Our teachers and staff have been busy preparing classrooms, planning engaging lessons, and creating welcoming spaces where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to reach for their dreams. Whether your child is joining us for the very first time or returning as one of our seasoned Hawks, we are ready to make this year exceptional.

As with every great adventure, the best journeys happen when we travel together. Our partnership with families is one of the greatest strengths of our school community. Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. It is truly an honor to serve as your principal and assistant principal, and we look forward to partnering with you throughout another incredible year.

The countdown is almost over, and the next chapter of our adventure is about to begin. We can't wait to welcome our students back to the Happiest School on Earth.

• Tuesday, August 4- 9:00-10:30 a.m.-    Kindergarten Get to Know You Meeting

• Thursday, August 6- 5:30-7:00 p.m.-   TK/Kindergarten Back to School Night

• Monday, August 10- 7:15 a.m.-              First Day of School

• Tuesday, August 11- 5:30-7:00 p.m.-    1st-5th Grades Back to School Night
